and live a life designed to maximize their emotional and physical health.
MISSION
To revolutionize the way women think, feel and act about prioritizing their physical
and emotional health and wellness.
OBJECTIVES
- To
educate and motivate women to make lifestyle changes through lectures, workshops,
seminars, and Prime Time Sister Circles® (PTSC)
- To develop a forum
for women to be trained to integrate their minds, body and spirit.
- To evaluate the
impact of managing stress, improving nutrition and increasing physical activity
on the physical and emotional health of women.
- To develop a Training
Institute for a train-the-trainer program for facilitators of PTSC.
- To expand and continue
to evaluate PTSC
WHAT
DOES THE INSTITUTE DO?
The Institute is a division of The Gaston and Porter Health Improvement Center.
The Institute provides information, materials, workshops, expertise, personal/professional
health development programs and current research which are customized to meet
the needs of women-especially women of African descent.
